Fontaines DC

Fontaines D.C. is an Irish post-punk band formed in Dublin in 2017. The band members are Grian Chatten (vocals), Carlos O’Connell (guitar), Conor Curley (guitar), Conor Deegan III (bass), and Tom Coll (drums). They quickly gained attention for their energetic sound and poetic lyrics.

 

1. Formation and Early Success
   - Formed in 2017 by friends from music college in Dublin.
   - Released debut album "Dogrel" in 2019, earning critical acclaim and a Mercury Prize nomination.

2. Continued Success:
   - Followed up with "A Hero's Death" in 2020, which was Grammy-nominated for Best Rock Album.
   - Released third album "Skinty Fia" in 2022, further establishing their reputation.

 Legacy:
Fontaines D.C. are known for their raw, energetic sound and insightful lyrics, making them a prominent name in the post-punk revival scene.
